A Family Day

Yesterday Brandon took the day off of work and took me and the kids to the Georgia Aquarium. I've been wanting to go since it opened like 4 years ago, and that's how long it's taken for me to finally make it up there! I've heard the crowds there on the weekends are horrible and I'm not one to hop in the car and drive to Atlanta during the week.
The kids had a great time. Brett liked the beluga whales and Caroline loved the octopus (she has a dress that has an octopus on it and gets excited and yells "OCTOPUS!!" every time she sees it). We were able to see the sea lions eat lunch and Brett asked if the little fishes cried when the sea lions ate them. And of course, he was constantly asking "what's that smell?"!!
We spent about 2 1/2 hours there then walked over to Centennial Park. We got there just in time to see the fountains synchronized to music and when that was over, all these kids had their swimsuits on and were playing in the fountains. Thank goodness I brought an extra pair of shorts and underwear for Brett because he was having a FIT to get in!! So we took his shirt off and let him play in there while we sat the 100 degree sun. We stripped Caroline down to her skivvies too but she wasn't keen on getting wet.
After that we went to Brandon's favorite restaurant in the whole entire world, The Varsity!! We chili dogs and onion rings and finished it off with a scoop of ice cream. YUMMMMMMMY!! Those really are the best onion rings EVER!
Here are some pictures of our fun day.
