Here We Go Again

Well......just when I thought the summer virus was gone, the stomach bug has arrived in its place. Brett complained of a headache yesterday afternoon several times, and I gave him a little Tylenol, but after nap time he woke up with a low grade fever again and about 7:30 he decided to barf all over himself, me, Brandon, our comforter, sheets, blankets, and mattress. Poor little thing. He's such a trooper when he's sick like this. Thank the Lord the second round he told me before it happened so we could make it to the toilet. And wonder of wonders, Brandon actually cleaned up afterwards! I never thought I'd see the day that happened!
I was supposed to keep Parker & Peyton today, but they're leaving for vacation on Friday and I would absolutely hate it if they got sick on vacation. I think Amy would hate me too!
So I guess we're indoors for another day at least. Our only excitement will be loading up the comforter and taking it to the dry cleaners. I've been needing to get that thing cleaned anyway. And we'll get to drive by the "new" McDonalds on the corner of Riverside and Tom Hill. Both of these kids have loved driving by there and seeing it being built. Of course, I get the same stinkin questions every time we drive by. "Why did they tear down the old McDonald's?" I just tell him because it was very dirty. (It really was a disgusting restaurant). "Where's the slide?" They're not building one. "Why?" I don't know. "Is it ready yet?" No. "When is it going to be ready?" I'm not sure. "Why did they tear it down?" And the redundancy begins!
This was yesterday before he got sick. He had smores for dessert.
