Happy 4th!!!!

Hooray for 4th of July! I always love this weekend. It always starts our countdown until family vacation......13 days left! I also love to see the kids' expressions when they see the fireworks. I guess since they don't see them that often, they forget that they've seen them before and have a totally different reaction to them. Brett used to LOVE them, then last year he was scared of them. I guess we'll find out tonight what he thinks of them this year. Caroline will probably be scared of them this year. She's so funny about noises and if it's an unfamiliar sound, whether it's loud or not she says "it hurt my ears"!
I also love the patriotic music that plays throughout the weekend. We do live in a great country and I pray it stays that way. I'm nervous about the election this year. I'm nervous about what this country is going to be like in 15 years when my children are grown. I wish I could keep them in this bubble and never let them see how corrupt our world is. I pray I can teach them the Truth and that they will grow up and make a difference in their world one day.
OK, enough seriousness......let's go celebrate! Happy Birthday America!!!

Im nervous too :( I am so protective with my sister Im going to be crazy when I have kids...oh know {I feel bad for them already}.
Did Caroline end up being afraid of the fireworks??:D
We watched fireworks at a farm in Unadilla...it was absolutely amazing..and umm..a certain tall good-looking gentleman was there as well {so that helped ;)} But anyway there were several kids there and everytime there was a pause in the fireworks the kids would yell, "MORE!" and clap and there were about 7-8 pauses..it was the cutest thing :)

I'm just a girl that loves God with all her heart! I'm a wife to my high school sweetheart for 13 years and mom to two of the sweetest, cutest kids ever!! God has blessed me way more than I ever imagined! It is my prayer that in everything I do, from staying home and keeping house, to serving at my church, to being a witness in the world, I want it to be done to glorify God!
