Beach Bound!!!!

YAY!! YAY!! YAY!! YIPPEE! YIPPEE! YIPPEE!!!!! We're goin to the beach uh-huh.....we're goin to the beach!!!!! Sorry, I'm a little excited, can you tell?! It seems like I've been counting down the days and FINALLY it's time!! I'm soo looking forward to it this year. I have hopeful expectations that I might actually get to sit down on the beach for more than 2o minutes at a time this year. You see, the past three years at the beach have not exactly been a vacation for me. The first year Brett was 11 months old and hated the sand. The second year, Caroline was 8 weeks old and I was too scared for her newborn skin to get too much sun (if I'd only known way back then that she was half black!!) Then last year, between Caroline's two naps and Brett's one, there were a couple days where I literally stayed in the room almost all day. Thanks goodness for Karen Kingsbury! I read 5 books in that one week of vacation!!
So this year, I'm not staying in. Brett is finally old enough to skip his naps and not turn into a monster, and Caroline likes her sleep so much that she'll just fall asleep anywhere when she's tired. So we'll have the big umbrella out, lots of drinks and snacks, I'll have my books and ipod, and I am GOING TO THE BEACH!!!!!!!
