We're Having Sooo Much Fun!!!

Well....we're at the beach!! I have already had so much fun. Brett & Caroline have both had their "moments" but overall have been good and are so overstimulated it's ridiculous!! They're both asleep right now, much to their dissappointment, but they just need a few hours to catch up on some sleep so they can stay up late and go digging in the sand for crabs tonight when it's dark.

This morning, both of these kids slept until 8:30!! And I did too!! That's a vacation present for sure!! We were out at the pool by 10:30, and after that to the beach. I am on my third book already. I just LOVE Karen Kingsbury.

Brett and his sensitive nose.....every where we go he is asking "what's that smell?" Whether it's someone's grill or the onion grass that they just cut around the pool or the beachy sulfur smell, he is very observant about the different smells.

Caroline has sang this entire trip. I have noticed that when she's happy she breaks out into song. Today it has been the Muffin Man and Skip To My Lou. I love it as we're walking somewhere and she's singing and the people around just look at her and smile and point her out. I guess that's a little mommy pride coming out of me.

Brandon seems to be forgetting about work as much as he can. He will check his email first thing in the morning and respond to several of those, but he is actually leaving his phone in the condo while we're out at the beach. I think that's a first in like 10 yrs!!

Tonight we're cooking a low country boil for supper. Mmmmm.....fresh shrimp. I can't wait! Of course, Brandon will be going to pick up some to-go from Schooners, since he's allergic to shrimp. I've taken over a hundred pictures already. I can't help it, I love to take pics! Here are just a few. (Notice our third "child" Lauren! She and Brett are best buds and can't do anything without the other around here.)
